Endurance Films
announces the
launch of the inaugural Endurance Triathlon Camp to be held in Las
Vegas, Nevada
March 7-10, 2002. The Boulder based production company has expanded and
integrated their knowledge on film and sport by partnering with world
class
athletes and coaches for a weekend of comprehensive instruction in an
ideal
training and coaching
environment.
The Endurance Team will
consist of
Ironman and 2-time World Champion Karen Smyers, Olympians Ryan Bolton
and Joanna
Zeiger, former US Olympic Committee Triathlete of the Year Wes Hobson,
Certified
Athletic Trainer Kristen McFarland, Elite Coach and Author of The
Triathletes
Training Bible Joe Friel, as well as the Endurance Film Crew.
Providing participants with a professional
triathlon
camp experience, the Endurance Team will offer extensive technique
evaluations,
video analysis of swim, bike and run form, seminars on planning your
season,
nutrition, physical and mental preparedness, as well as an ideal forum
to learn
from the pros.
The Endurance Triathlon Camp is exclusively
limiting the number of its "campers" to provide the best athlete to
coach camp
ratio in the sport while allowing for an extremely personal experience.
The Endurance Team will customize a training camp strategy for
each of its
participants prior to the camp by discussing with them their strengths,
weaknesses, and training / racing goals.
The Venetian Resort will
host
the camp and serve as the epicenter for all in-house camp activities and
seminars. Swim workouts and underwater technique filming will take
place
at the Desert Breeze Aquatic Center, modeled after the Olympic pool in
Sydney,
Australia. All riding and running will take place at the
spectacular
venues of Red Rock and Lake Mead National Park.
